Massage therapists Maria Michelene Batanes, Beverly Knapp, and Alex Jamani (student) bring talent and experience to our clinic with a variety of techniques on offer.
Maria Michelene Batanes was born in the Philippines and raised here in Edmonton. She is a graduate of the rigorous Makami College 3000 hour program, which prepared her for the 7+ years she's spent working alongside different practitioners developing her skills. She enjoys therapeutic deep tissue massage and employs a more clinical massage technique. She also offers cupping and most recently has added Graston Technique, a form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, to her skill-set.
Beverly Knapp is from Regina and has recently graduated from the Remedial Massage Therapy program at the Alberta College of Massage Therapy here in Edmonton. She is highly recommended by one of our previous massage therapists, Renata, as she was a top student of hers. She enjoys ischemic compression techniques and relaxation massage techniques.
Alex Jamani is from Kelowna and is currently enrolled at the Alberta College of Massage Therapy in his second year. He likes to get at the root of issues and work his way out from there, employing a more clinical and therapeutic massage technique. His sessions will be offered at a discounted student rate.
